Magnetic: Mos Def News

The fact that Mos Def did a commercial for GMC to promote their Denali line of SUV is old news, but I just recently sought out and viewed the actual spot. For those like me who heard the news, but never saw the ad:

HBO will air Lackawanna Blues, an "inspiring coming-of-age story about one extraordinary woman who built a community and circumvented segregation in her own determined way," starring Mos Def and other notables such as Jimmy Smits, Rosie Perez, and Macy Gray starting October 4th.

The movie, an HBO Films original production, will be replayed throughout October and November. Here are is the complete schedule of airtimes.

Along with the popular Def Poetry and Oscar-worthy Something the Lord Made, Mos Def has a superb track record with HBO.
