Mos Def has, at least temporarily, dropped out of the Breed Love Odyssey Tour. The announcement was made yesterday evening via a post on the Okayplayer forums by none other than Talib Kweli, the co-headliner of the Breed Love Tour and Mos Def’s partner in Black Star.

Mos Def & Talib Kweli still create great music together. They proved this again last night for the world to see on Jimmy Kimmel’s Live Concert Series. The duo performed Supreme Supreme, a track off of Talib’s upcoming album on which Mos is a guest. Talib sounds a little hoarse, but Mos is right on time and the track is hot.

If you missed the live performance, have no fear. The internet is here:

This will come as a surprise to no one, but Mos Def will add his talents to the new Talib Kweli album, Right About Now: The Sucka Free. (It would be bigger news if Mos didn’t appear on the album.)

Mos appears on the 12th track on the album, a song called Surpreme, which strikes this fan as apt.

Pitbull and Jean Grae also make guest appearances. The album drops November 22nd.

Mos Def will be joined by Talib Kweli, Jean Grae, and Pharoahe Monche at The House of Blues in San Diego on November 5th for what is being billed as "The Breed Love Odyssey." Wow.

The Playstation-sponsored show (we can only hope for other dates) starts at 11pm and will run you at least $40.

Get tickets and more details at the House of Blues site.
